Mr. Himood’s Full Mouth Journey: Two Trips from Australia to Vung Tau

My name is Himood. I’m from Australia. For a long time, my teeth had been in poor condition. Many were missing or badly damaged, making it hard to eat properly and difficult to smile with confidence. After getting quotes for full mouth implants back home, I decided to look for other options.

I ended up making two separate trips to Vung Tau, Vietnam for the treatment.

The first trip, I came with my daughter. It felt reassuring to have her with me. We stayed at the Oyster Bay hotel in Vung Tau. The location was nice — close to the beach, with a calm atmosphere that helped me relax between appointments. During that visit, the initial work was done: examinations, 3D scans, planning, and the first stage of the implant procedure. Dr. Tony Thai Tai Nguyen was the dentist who looked after my case. He explained everything clearly in English and took time to answer all our questions.

After returning to Australia, I waited for the healing period. A few months later, I made my second trip — this time by myself. Coming alone felt different, but I already knew what to expect. I stayed at the same hotel, Oyster Bay, which felt familiar and comfortable. The sea breeze and peaceful environment made the recovery time much more pleasant than I had imagined.

In the second visit, Dr. Tony completed the final stage: fitting the permanent prosthesis. The whole process across both trips was smoother than I expected. There was the usual swelling and some discomfort in the early days, but it was manageable.

By the end of the second trip, I could eat more comfortably again. Smiling no longer felt like something I needed to hide. The quiet coastal setting of Vung Tau, especially the walks near the beach after appointments, helped make the experience feel less clinical and more like a period of quiet recovery.

This was my personal journey — two trips, one with my daughter and one on my own, spread over several months. It took patience, but step by step, things improved.
